Erik Kalasunas Joins ICHRRF Executive Team
The ICHRRF is very pleased to welcome Erik Kalasunas as Honorary Director of Communications with ICHRRF’s Executive Team. Erik is a journeyman by way of profession and has worked in commercial plumbing for nearly 30 years. Passionate about helping others achieve their maximum potential, Erik started his journey as a certified personal trainer over 10 years ago. Erik is a first-generation college student, breaking intergenerational patterns of trauma, deprivation and poverty. Because of Erik's own personal journey and lived experiences, he cares deeply about humanity and advocates for human rights and religious freedom for all living people. Erik's grandfather served in the US Army during WW2 and after witnessing his grandfather’s journey, he realized how important it is for future generations to understand their history, learn from it, and unlearn certain behaviors so that we can improve quality of life for our future generations of humanity. He has been volunteering with the ICHRRF for some time and attended our 2nd and 3rd Annual ICHRRF Conference at the Point of View Retreat, GMU in Lorton, VA and actively participated in the Women’s Roundtable discussion.
We hope that his volunteer services will be very valuable to ICHRRF as an organization and inspires healing, compassion, and community engagement in others who resonate with his story for years to come.
